February 1, 2021 Bancore launched its new prepaid Mastercard as an add-on settlement option for our partners, who can instantly issue a prepaid Mastercard and settle transactions to all African consumers holding a mobile phone – including the 700 million people who are today unbanked or underbanked. The result is lower cost and the consumer’s improved control of spending of hard-earned funds, as well as fewer cash-pickups in these challenging Covid-19 times.
